PNAC VS Project 2025

I’ve noticed that a lot of people have heard recently about Project 2025, but less people are aware that most of the same people involved in Project 2025 and in pushing it onto all of us are the same people or related to some of the people who created Project for a New American Century, a group that swore to uphold Christian values and spread those values around the globe and a group that was highly critical of President George Bush Jr and his foreign policy decisions especially when they thought he wasn’t being hardline enough. They also hated immigrants and wanted them deported long before Trump talked about a wall. The group behind all of them is the Heritage Foundation.

The Heritage Foundation (or simply Heritage) is an American conservative think tank based in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1973, it took a leading role in the conservative movement in the 1980s during the presidency of Ronald Reagan, whose policies were taken from Heritage Foundation studies, including its Mandate for Leadership.

The Heritage Foundation has had significant influence in U.S. public policy making, and has historically been ranked among the most influential public policy organizations in the United States. In 2010, it founded a sister organization, Heritage Action, an influential activist force in conservative and Republican politics.” – Wikipedia

Yes these conservative Christian extremists have been drawing up plans to force their Christian morals, ways of life, and more on all of us for decades and now they have their man Trump in charge. Terrifying isn’t it? I think it is.

So what was PNAC? According to Wikipedia:

“The Project for the New American Century (PNAC) was a neoconservative think tank based in Washington, D.C., that focused on United States foreign policy. It was established as a non-profit educational organization in 1997, and founded by William Kristol and Robert Kagan. PNAC’s stated goal was “to promote American global leadership”. The organization stated that “American leadership is good both for America and for the world”, and sought to build support for “a Reaganite policy of military strength and moral clarity“.

Of the twenty-five people who signed PNAC’s founding statement of principles, ten went on to serve in the administration of U.S. President George W. Bush, including Dick CheneyDonald Rumsfeld, and Paul Wolfowitz. Observers such as Irwin Stelzer and Dave Grondin have suggested that the PNAC played a key role in shaping the foreign policy of the Bush Administration, particularly in building support for the Iraq War. Academics such as Inderjeet Parmar, Phillip Hammond, and Donald E. Abelson have said PNAC’s influence on the George W. Bush administration has been exaggerated.”

Which, honestly sounds about exactly what they said they were about here:

Apparently it “ceased to exist” in 2006, but we all know that’s just a snake shedding its skin right?

“The Project for the New American Century ceased to function in 2006; it was replaced by a new think-tank named the Foreign Policy Initiative, co-founded by Kristol and Kagan in 2009. The Foreign Policy Initiative was dissolved in 2017.” – Wikipedia

Project 2025 is just the new PNAC and Foreign Policy Initiative conservative Christian Nazi think tank that hates anyone who isn’t white and Christian and thinks white Christians should rule the world because we know best I guess. This isn’t a new line of thinking it’s just a less militant one FOR NOW. These people have expressed some very fascist ideas and they are technically in charge and their man Trump seems willing to defy courts, jail antagonists, flout the law and ignore norms. The danger we are in is severe.

It is my opinion that these hardline Christian conservatives figured out that ruling the world or influencing it with their Christian values and morals would be a lot harder than they thought after the Iraq War. They realized that they must have more foot soldiers for their cause. They realized that before they could tell the world they must operate according to their values they had to force those same values and morals on everyone at home first. They turned their attention inward towards doing things like overturning Roe and gutting social safety nets like Medicare and Medicaid. They turned their attention to deporting migrants and creating a more white Christian ethno state. Unfortunately their having some success due to the lack of a cohesive opposition.

The ACLU has done their best to describe the policies and the potential impacts of Project 2025 and I think if you look at them you will agree they are, in general, similar or exactly the same as everything else the Heritage Foundation and conservative Christian extremists have pushed in American politics for decades.

Just as PNAC had a document of morals and principles that everyone was suppose to sign onto Project 2025 has a manual as well, calling for many of the same things these same Christian conservative extremists have been calling for for some time. Its called Mandate for Leadership A Conservative Promise and is about 900 pages long. You can read/download it here:

So, in closing, what I would like to say, as someone who grew up with a dad that was very conservative, worked in law enforcement, and the took kids to troubled teen industry facilities for their parents on the side, I know a lot about these Christian fascists. I have heard them for decades talk about how one day they will be in charge and force their morals, their values, their way of life on everyone because that they believe is “doing God’s will”. I have heard the many speeches that God’s law supersedes man’s law. That separation of church and state shouldn’t exist. That separation between religion and education shouldn’t exist and that we should be able to indoctrinate kids with the Christian message because its “good for them”.

These people are determined, in power, and enacting their Christofascist agenda before our very eyes. Its my worst nightmare to be honest. Its about time people realized these people are neighbors, your pastor, some people in your church if not all of them. They are people at your grocery store, that fix your car, people who look like you and like me but they aren’t like us are they? Its time we recognized Christian Fascism for the evil it is and called out Christian fascists for what they really are. Nazis.

The last group of people who claimed they were doing “God’s will” and carried out mass deportations, tortured and jailed their opponents, and then tried to rule the world “for Christ” were the Nazis in Nazi Germany. Hitler was a Christian and weaponized his religion to make his actions seem more legitimate.
