The United States was founded when people decided they were fed up with taxation without representation and wanted religious freedom from England. Still, there have always been religious extremists and ideologs. From the Know Nothings to MAGA these racist, extremist, often religious group of anti-immigrant, morally conservative people have existed in our nation.
In 1935 the Nazis passed two radically discriminatory pieces of legislation inspired by America laws: the Reich Citizenship Law and the Law for the Protection of German blood and German Honor. Together these became known as the Nuremberg Laws which laid the legal groundwork for the persecution of the Jews, black people, and the disabled during the Holocaust and World War II.
In How the Nazis Were Inspired by Jim Crow To craft legal discrimination, the Third Reich studied the United States by Becky Little we read:
“America in the early 20th century was the leading racist jurisdiction in the world,” says Whitman, who is a professor at Yale Law School. “Nazi lawyers, as a result, were interested in, looked very closely at, and were ultimately influenced by American race law.” – Published: August 16, 2017
So the Nazis learned how to be even more racist by studying us here in AmeriKKKa. Now you may understand that spelling and why I occasionally use it. Its to remind America of our racist past and present. Which brings me to my next point.
Hitler was a Christian…

“Positive Christianity”, according to Wikipedia, “was a religious movement within Nazi Germany which promoted the belief that racial purity of the German people should be maintained by mixing racialist: Nazi ideology with either fundamental or significant elements of Nicene Christianity.” Hitler repeated called himself a Christian in public and said that the Nazi movement was a Christian one.

Oath Keepers, Proud Boys, 3%ers, etc. are your Nazi foot soldiers or will be, alongside the fascist police. History is repeating itself. Religion, the Christian religion to be specific, is being weaponized and evangelicals are being used yet again. The sheep are being led astray by yet another false prophet another wolf in shepherds clothes.
Growing up I would hear Christian extremists discuss a day when they would rise to power like how some envision the South will rise again. They would talk about how they would one day “set America on the right course” and how we were a “sinful nation” that need to “get right with God” for various reasons; legalized abortion, gay marriage, drug use, etc. Whatever the church wanted to shame people for in the moment. So I’m no stranger to their propaganda or their ideology and I’m not surprised they are now poised to install a fascist theocracy. In fact I’m almost more surprised it took them this long.
You see we all know they bought the Supreme Cult I mean Supreme Court and that they aren’t going to reign in this President. This President isn’t going to listen to the courts, laws, and is seemingly above the law and is able to do and say whatever he wants. A real life king/dictator installed by Christian fascists thirsty for power and hungry to impose their morals on everyone else. Trump allowed them to achieved their goal of taking the right for women to have an abortion away and has helped them and the TERFs accomplish wins against trans athletes. They see him as a hero in their culture war slash religious battle to control everyone and everything.
So how did we get here? Obviously these people have always been here, like I said, and in an ironic twist of fate we taught the Nazis how to be racist and cruel.
According to encyclopedia Britannica the
“Know-Nothing party, U.S. political party that flourished in the 1850s. It was an outgrowth of the strong anti-immigrant and especially anti-Roman Catholic sentiment that started to manifest itself during the 1840s. A rising tide of immigrants, primarily Germans in the Midwest and Irish in the East, seemed to pose a threat to the economic and political security of native-born Protestant Americans. In 1849 the secret Order of the Star-Spangled Banner formed in New York City, and soon after lodges formed in nearly every other major American city.”
“One of the most striking Nazi views was that Jim Crow was a suitable racist program in the United States because American Blacks were already oppressed and poor,” he says. “But then in Germany, by contrast, where the Jews (as the Nazis imagined it) were rich and powerful, it was necessary to take more severe measures…
Because of this, Nazis were more interested in how the U.S. had designated Native Americans, Filipinos and other groups as non-citizens even though they lived in the U.S. or its territories. These models influenced the citizenship portion of the Nuremberg Laws, which stripped Jewish Germans of their citizenship and classified them as “nationals.”

In an article entitled Trump Administration Pauses Some Green Card Applications As Part of Aggressive Vetting Effort By Camilo Montoya-Galvez,Nicole Sganga
Updated on: March 25, 2025
We learn that the Trump administration has quietly paused the processing of green card applications filed by certain individuals, including approved refugees, as part of a broader effort to more aggressively vet immigrants.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, or USCIS, recently directed its officials to suspend the processing of requests for LEGAL permanent residency submitted by immigrants granted refugee or asylum status. In other words he is behaving exactly like Hitler and Nazis in Germany did before WWII.
Trump and MAGA cultists aren’t going to stop with so called “illegal immigrants”. They have talked openly about stripping US citizens of their citizenship, have stripped immigrants of their green cards, and have even deported people in error. Here are just some videos about the students, activists and immigrants being disappeared by this administration for speaking their truth and/or being an immigrant not from this country.
In closing I hope we can find a way to elect leaders who can reverse some of the damage done during the Trump administration. The future looks bleak for immigrants in this country and racism and nationalism are on the rise. We all will have to do our part to combat it in our local communities and stand together against this fascist dictator wanna be king and his goons.
